Although only some 1250m2, Longview Drive HC with it’s integral pharmacy, plays an important role in moving secondary care to the primary care environment. Within a tight urban site, it involves the relocation of a local GP practice from obsolete, converted, semi-detached premises.

With the provision of an enhanced minor surgery suite, the previously underutilised capabilities of the GP’s with special interests will be fully accommodated. The suite is organised to enable use in an extended role out of hours by other GPs in the vicinity. Including a number of multi purpose spaces, it is anticipated that the centre will be used by the adjacent primary school for education purposes enhancing the link between health and the wider social context.
