Case Study

Widnes Health Care Resource Centre (HCRC), a £7 million brand new health facility, opened its doors to patients in April 2006. The new facility was the first LIFT building to be built in Halton and the second across the LIFT programme.

The brand new three storey development was a long awaited building for the Widnes Area enabling the ever expanding Primary Care Services to move out of Kingsway Health Centre and provided additional space to relocate a number of GP practices. Expansion space was also included in the design so that some services previously provided in Local Hospitals could be provided in the Community.
