Environmental strategy
The objective for Blue Bell is to provide a comfortable internal environment for the occupants with minimum energy consumption, specifically that based on fossil fuels, and hence minimise the building’s carbon output.

Building Performance
The high anticipated insulation values ,with air tightness and high heat recovery efficiency will produce a building with a very low thermal load. This will result in a thermal energy balance or equilibrium point around 4degC steady state .This will reduce with established occupancy and internal gains to a point where heating will not be required.
