Lowe House Health Care Resource Centre has now reached completion. Since working on the scheme in early 2007, TACE have provided concept and full mechanical and electrical designs over the past 3 years. Lowe House HCRC is a multi functional health centre with its main aim to increase and develop St Helens health and education facilities. The scheme incorporates several General Practitioners and specialist facilities such as a minor surgery suite, gym areas, audiology, pharmacy, and family planning.
TACE have worked closely with Renova Developments and their design team to
help produce a building which we believe to be the most successful yet. The building benefits from a low energy cooling system delivered via a constant volume air handling unit, the scheme also incorporates a large solar thermal system, utilizing 6 solar panels providing the majority of the water heating for the building.
The building has just recently been handed over and now TACE are spending the next month finishing and snagging the scheme prior to occupancy. We then plan to implement a post occupancy evaluation; this will provide us with enough feedback to seasonally commission the building and monitor its condition and energy performance. We look forward to sharing the results with you later this year!
