This regeneration scheme involved the development of new headquarters for First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) a local housing provider within the Oldham area. The 35,000 sqft, purpose built, three storey building for the social housing provider located on Union Street and Phoenix Street formed part of the Council’s wider regeneration plans for the area.
The new flagship home for FCHO includes private interview rooms, learning zones for practical advice sessions, a computer hub as well as several flexible spaces designed for meetings and training.
The new HQ will not only facilitate the company in delivering first class customer service, but will provide excellent working conditions via its commitment to sustainability. The scheme is rated BREEAM ‘Very Good’ and has an EPC rating of ‘B’ and has incorporated design elements like a glass atrium that will allow maximum daylight to enter the building and aid in ventilation.
