Bowdon Church School is a new build scheme that provides much needed extra space to an oversubscribed primary school.

The expansion of the school saw it move from a 2 Form Entry school to a 3 Form entry (an increase of 210 pupils) meaning it is now better equipped to provide for the increase in pupil population in the local community.

 

As well as providing new classrooms for reception, infant and junior students the scheme provided the school with a new main hall, a small hall, food technology studio and a new outdoor area. The new school building was constructed next to the existing school which was then demolished once the new build was complete.

Good building design has allowed the scheme to reduce its energy requirements thus allowing the school to reduce is Carbon emissions and function more efficiently.
