Located at 55 Portland Street, this 18-storey, 329-bed hotel has replaced a 50-year-old office block on the corner of Sackville Street. The tower was built using precast panels with a Portland stone-style façade, which were manufactured off site and installed using a centrally positioned tower cran, the off-site method allowing for improved efficiency, increased safety, and reduced waste.

The completion brings the Clayton Hotel brand to Manchester city centre for the first time. Set to be one of Dalata Hotel Group’s flagship buildings, the hotel comprises a conference floor and public areas featuring No. 55 Restaurant & Bar, all across the first three storeys.
