The University of Liverpool recently completed Crown Places residencies which has replaced outdated existing buildings to provide a modern residential experience for the students.
Located on Brownlow Hill on the site of demolished School of Veterinary Sciences, Crown Place now provides 1259 units spread across three blocks, each rising between seven and eleven storeys.
The units are a mixture of studios and en suite bedrooms with 29 larger studios for live-in pastoral tutors.
The lower levels of the buildings have been utilised for retail units, social spaces and underground parking.
The scheme was designed to achieve a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating and has employed a heating system that is powered via the spare capacity from the existing heating infrastructure.
